senior advisor in a Montreal-based Government relations firm and almost 2 years as an advisor to the Minister of Communications and Culture, Mr. Marc‐André Deschênes joined TESLA PR in 2017. He has spent almost fifteen years as a communication strategist. He specializes in strategic communications and public affairs and offers the Quebec sensitivity you need. 

Mr. Marc‐André Deschênes successfully served as the PR lead strategist for Quebec on:
• multiples over a billion CA$ acquisitions of Canadian gems from foreign multinational
company.
• CA$700 million unsolicited proposal with the Canadian government.

In the government, Marc-André worked on the creation of communications strategies for public-private partnerships. He knows how the Quebec legislative procedure works as he served as the PR strategist on the team responsible for drafting and adopting a bill regarding the accountability and management of Crown corporations. These experiences have given him the ability to understand government systems and processes and anticipate, analyze and overcome strategic issues with a global perspective.

As a member of the Leader’s Tour team in the 2012 provincial election campaign, he was responsible for managing relationships with members of the
electronic and television media in the Quebec National Assembly press gallery. He was also part of the team that conducted a
strategic media analysis for the Premier of Quebec, leading to the 2008 Quebec election win.

Mr. Olivier Brault is an entrepreneur fighting climate change, leading the new startup project Gamotech, which at first helps municipalities reduce their carbon emissions and then will expand the expertise to other fields such as forestry, agriculture, mining, construction, etc.

He started his intrapreneur career by helping reduce the costs of diagnosing infectious diseases in emerging markets at Adaltis Inc from 2003 to 2008. Then he developed solutions to reduce airline carbon emissions by experimenting with lighter materials at Norduyn Aviation based in Shanghai. In the last 10 years, he was General Manager – Asia pacific for Soprema Canada, working on improving the energy efficiency of buildings.

Ms. Mejia has over 15 years of experience as a manager. She currently manages Arrivie, which provides support and guidance to Quebec companies that welcome foreign workers, in particular to promote their integration. In the past, she directed the Mexican Trade Commission in Montreal, was at the forefront of the negotiations that allowed Bombardier Aerospace to set up its facility in Mexico. She was a director of MEQ, the Quebec Manufacturers and Exporters association, as well as of Développement économique de l’Agglomération de Longueuil.

Stéphane Coudé is founding president of XSM2 Group Inc. Mr. Coudé holds a doctorate in business administration for executives (EDBA) from Paris Dauphine University obtained in 2014 with the mention “very honorable with the congratulations of the jury”; a Post-MBA degree from the Harbin Institute of Technology in Shenzhen, China obtained with a perfect grade in 2009 as well as a MBA for executives from UQAM and an EMBA from Paris-Dauphine University. The Honorable David Heurtel was born in Montréal, where he graduated from Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf, prior to completing an LL.B. at Université de Montréal in 1993. He joined the Québec Bar the following year. From 1994 to 1998, he was an attorney with the Montréal law firm Lavery. After practicing law for several years, he studied sales and marketing at HEC Montréal business school and subsequently studied communications at the Kellogg School of Management in Illinois. In 2011, he also took advanced courses at the École des sciences de la gestion of Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM).

 

The Honorable David Heurtel was first elected to the Québec National Assembly in December 2013 as MNA for Viau, a riding in the east part of the Island of Montréal. He was re-elected in the April 2014 general elections and appointed Minister of Sustainable Development, Environment and the Fight against Climate Change on April 23, 2014. On October 11, 2017, he was appointed Minister of Immigration, Diversity and Inclusiveness.
